2007 Central Coast Home Run Derby
2007 Long Ball Champion
Geno hit the longest home run over 400 feet.
The ball left Geno's bat like a missile leaving the
deck of an Air Craft Carrier focused on some
piece of grass within the Gilroy Zip Code.
Some said they saw the CHP trying to pull the ball
over for speeding but the ball eluded them
The ball left the park via Right Center Field hitting
the ground just past the Red Woods. The ball
bounced across the street and landed in the area
known as the 'Kids Area' during the Garlic Festival.
Thoughts of getting in our cars to go and find the
ball crossed our minds. The ball did rest 475 feet
from home plate.
