11am October 24th, 2009 At Christmas Hill Park in Gilroy
This year the Derby will be held at Gilroy's Christmas Hill Major Field beginning at 11am
Entrance fee is $35 per batter and includes Home Run Derby T-Shirt and Beverage.
Home run fence will be 275 feet from home plate and span from foul line to foul line.
There will be a woman's division and use 11 inch softballs and hit from pitchers mound.
Adjusted fence from pitchers mound will be 230 feet.
Prizes to be given:
~ 1st prize is one Softball Bat for woman and one for men, the 2009 HR Derby Champion
Trophy, and your names engraved on the Home Run Derby Plaque hung in Dutchman's
Pizza.
~ 2nd prize is one Mitt for woman and one for men.
~ Top 10 men batters that move into round 2 received a custom Dutchman's Home Run
Derby Ball Hat. Top 60% of women will also receive the same hat.
~ Trophy for the Longest Men and Woman Home Run hit and your name engraved on
the Home Run Derby Plaque hung in Dutchman's Pizza.

This is a charity Softball Tournament to benefit all Middle Schools in Gilroy. See
tournament details by clicking link to the left.
Limited to 16, the tourney will be a double elimination style so each team will play at
least 2 games.
First round will be Friday September 25th. Games will be played at Christmas Hill Fields
and Las Animas Major fields. Remaining games will include CHP Ranch fields in Gilroy
Saturday September 26th beginning at 9am.
All participating teams will receive at no additional cost: Beer, Soda, and Pizza on
Friday night.
Awards to top 4 teams. Eight member All Tournament Team will be selected and
receive awards and entry into the 3rd annual Home Run Derby.
